Diane has served in Paraguay since 1987. Immediately after arriving in Asuncion, she was asked to teach Hermeneutics at the Bible school and today continues as a professor. In 1991 she was named Global University/ICI director for Paraguay and works with pastors and leaders to coordinate discipleship training programs in the local church developing teachers and workers. Due to the bilingual status of Paraguay, Spanish and Guarani, she was motivated to search for a way to evangelize in Guarani, the mother tongue of Paraguayans. Statistics indicate that 60% of Paraguayans speak only Guarani, and many do not read or write. Diane recognizes that God brought her to Paraguay for such a time as this and prepared Graciela Cabrera, a new Christian working in the ICI office, to eventually become translator-producer of audio programs in Spanish and Guarani. Diane is grateful for God's provision and indebted to faithful churches and individuals who have given to make all this a reality! Paraguayans are worhiping God in their own language: Guarani!
