Carl & Terri Gibbs are non-resident missionaries to Angola and São Tomé/Principé, two Portuguese speaking countries in Africa. Carl serves as the director of a Bible college in Luanda, Angola known as the Faculte de Assembleias de Deus de Angola and as the filed moderator for new mission endeavor in São Tomé/Principé, two island countries just off the coast of West Africa. The Gibbs family is assigned to Africa's Hope, a training service of the Assemblies of God world missions. At Africa's Hope they have a pan-African role of producing a series of books that are being used to train pastors in Africa. The seriies is known as the Africa's Hope discovery Series and Carl oversees all aspects of the production of these books in English (from writing to editing to typesetting and printing). He also oversees the translation of these materials into French and Portuguese.
